How to Strategically Cut Costs Without Cutting Your Comfort

I don't know an adult that loves to pay bills!!

If you do, please send me your account info so you can pay a few of mine. 😂 It won't be much and you'll be helping a friend!! 🤣 All jokes aside, I've had to learn how to WIN WITH MY MONEY. 💰

There's a way to do it and not lose your mind AND your comfort.

Just last week, I implemented a strategic plan and SAVED $1,500 on my car insurance. 🎉

Fo' real!! No lies told.

You see all them extra zeros?! 👀

That's MONEY IN MY POCKET and it’s not going towards paying bills!! I'm expanding my margin for how I want to live my life and not how my bills have me set up. 🥹

Come closer

When we vision map, we use these strategic skills in every aspect of our life.

MY TRUTH is YOU can take these steps and be strategic about

  • your money,

  • your margin, and

  • your life.

Remember, we love to share the steps to win.

Pull out your notebook📕, snap a picture 📸, and take these steps 🪜 so you can WIN TOO. 🎉

  1. Take out a bill for a service provider.

    1. Example: auto insurance, cell phone, home insurance, etc.

  2. On the front of the bill, write the name and phone number of a competitor company.

  3. Review the details of your bill to understand your service and how much you're paying.

  4. Call the competitor company to inquire about deals and offers for new clients.

  5. Write the details down and compare them to your current plan.

    1. Better yet, if you can get an estimate via email, this is even better for you to use with your provider.

  6. Don't say yes to any changes YET.

  7. Call your current service provider. Ask about deals, as a long standing customer.

  8. Listen to the offers.

  9. With your current bill and the competitors quote side-by-side, listen to the offers from your provider.

  10. Bonus: If your current provider’s response ain’t hitting, in other words, they do not work for you, use the notes from your competitor’s quote to request the BEST OFFER from your current provider.

    1. Listen to the offers and determine whether you stay with your current provider or leave to your competitor company.

Lean In and Get Into It

I followed these steps and here's what was offered to me and where I landed.

The context you need to know is that my car insurance quote included 6-months of coverage for 3 cars. By the way, these are NOT new nor luxury vehicles. We believe in DEBT FREE living. (I'll get into that on another post.)

We live a simple life and believe in keeping our coins to create wonderful life experiences so when we saw these numbers, I had to do something.

The table illustrates a summary of the quotes offered to me by two reputable insurance companies (not disclosed). The numbers shared helps the reader understand the importance of making a phone call to SAVE MONEY rather than to give it away for bills.

  • Yes, I will.

  • Nah, nope, not interested.
